This post-industrial Berlin park hits all the marks. It playfully moves you to hover above, climb way above, and step within former rail infrastructure. The walkway adapts to a variety of conditions along the former rail, seemingly evading the need to dig new trail footers. For the sake of fun (?) the trail hops high and dips low offering varying vantage points, above the tree line, extended in the forest and meadow, and into brick lined ditches.
The historic narrative is felt through the material language of the trail and its preservation of form and paraphernalia.
